Welcome to the "Mandurah Waterways Eco Adventure," where your journey transcends adventure and becomes a chance to positively impact the environment.

We depart the Mandurah Visitors Centre and head to the Samphire Cove Nature Reserve, a reserve in the Peel region offering visitors a chance to explore a fascinating environment on the fringes of the Peel Inlet. A leisurely 2km hike allows us to discover the wetlands diverse biodiversity and learn about the critical need for wetland conservation. Utilizing the iNaturalist app our visit allows us a chance to contribute to Citizen Science, documenting unique flora and fauna encountered along the way.

Our Eco Adventure then takes us back to the Mandurah Foreshore where we collect our ebikes from The Bike Kiosk & depart for a 10km Bridge Loop Ride. As we ride we unveil the significance of Mandurah, where beaches, foreshores and coastal heath, internationally-recognized wetlands, diverse, native bushland and rivers, form a part of the Southwest Australia Ecoregion, one of a small number of Global Biodiversity Hotspots. We briefly chat about the City of Mandurah's Environment Strategy, it's narrative and how we as guardians of a place that is woven by waterways and bursting with biodiversity, can play an active role in caring for such an important environment.

As our Mandurah Waterways Eco Adventure unfolds with an exciting morning of exploration and adventure, the time arrives for a well-deserved refueling stop at Wood and Stone Cafe, a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Mandurah. When you step into the cafe, you’re stepping into a world of charm, warmth, and delightful hospitality. The enlivening aroma of fresh coffee beans, the blissful blend of rustic wood and soothing stone interiors creates an atmosphere that is inviting for all. Overlooking the Eastern Foreshore, enjoy the stunning bay views soaking in the serenity and coastal charm, gearing up for the next leg of our adventure.

Now that we have nourished our bodies it's time to embark on our final adventure, an enchanting paddling expedition across Mandurah's Estuary, Mandjar Bay, and the captivating Venetian Canals—a journey that immerses us in the heart of these pristine waterways. While navigating these azure waters, our adventure isn't merely exploration; it's a chance to engage in the noble Dolphin Watch Project, a meaningful initiative dedicated to the conservation of these majestic creatures. As we survey the local waters, our efforts become part of a crucial endeavor to support and protect the resident dolphin population. It's not just an adventure; it's a chance to make a real difference in the conservation of Mandurah's cherished marine life.
