Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Mandurah’s estuary with our Estuary Paddle n Pint Kayaking Tour, a guided four-hour experience that weaves together breathtaking scenery, local wildlife, and a touch of indulgence.
Setting off from the Western Foreshore, we'll paddle along the Mandurah Estuary, guiding you past lush, bird-rich wetlands, along the captivating foreshore of Sticks Channel where every turn reveals new layers of vibrant ecosystems. Glide across serene waters, keeping an eye out for Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins that often join the adventure, along with graceful black swans, soaring pelicans, and stingrays gliding beneath.
Our journey sees us paddling across the Ramsar listed Peel-Harvey Estuary. The Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary is the largest and most diverse estuarine system in the south-west of Western Australia and is part of the Peel-Yalgorup Ramsar System which supports residential and migratory waterbirds as well as providing habitat for fish breeding and nursery grounds for fish and crustacea, many of which we will see whilst traversing over to Boundary Island, a peaceful oasis inviting you to stretch your legs and soak in panoramic views.
From Boundary Island, we’ll make our way to the award-winning Boundary Island Brewery, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch paired with a refreshing pint while taking in stunning estuary views. With bellies full and spirits high, we’ll embark on a leisurely return paddle, passing Channel Island and the Creery Wetlands, where ospreys often soar above and wildlife flourishes.This tour is a celebration of Mandurah’s waterways and the stunning natural world that defines this region. Welcome to the Sunrise, Wildlife & Wetlands Kayaking Tour, an invigorating way to embrace the early morning beauty of Mandurah’s unique wetlands.
Led by Certified Kayaking Guide Chelle Fisher, this 90-minute adventure offers an unforgettable experience as you paddle through dynamic waterways at dawn, a time when the wetlands come alive with vibrant sights and sounds. Your journey begins with a gentle launch into the water, bathed in the soft glow of first light. We’ll paddle past the peaceful Samphire Cove Nature Reserve wetlands, an important ecosystem where the hardy samphire plant supports a diverse array of wildlife. Navigating through the scenic Mandurah Estuary, we’ll make our way toward Osprey Waters Reserve, often catching glimpses of ospreys in flight as the sun rises on a new day.
On the return paddle, we’ll pass by Soldiers Cove, soaking in the stillness of the morning. As you glide along, keep an eye out for playful Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins swimming nearby, iconic black swans, and a variety of waterbirds like pelicans and cormorants resting along the banks or soaring above.
Throughout the tour, you’ll be invited to consciously engage your senses, encouraging mindfulness and a renewed appreciation for the energy and beauty of the wetlands. These nature therapy prompts will help you slow down, breathe deeply, and fully immerse yourself in the moment, offering a refreshing and grounding way to start your day. This tour provides a gentle fitness boost that will leave you feeling energized and ready for the day ahead.
Upon returning to our launch zone, you’ll be treated to a pre-ordered barista-made coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, paired with a delicious breakfast muffin from a local café—a perfect way to relax, reflect, and savor the morning’s adventure.

Join us on an unforgettable journey exploring the wonders of Mandurah's waterways with our 'Estuary Escapades: Paddling Stories & Dolphin Watching Adventure' kayaking tour. As your Eco Certified Kayaking Guide and a trained Dolphin Watch volunteer, Chelle Fisher invites you to be part of a unique adventure that combines exploration with citizen science. This is your special invitation to participate in some dolphin watching as part of the Mandurah Dolphin Watch Project.
We kick off our journey with a safety briefing and a fun introduction to kayaking to ensure everyone feels confident and ready. Then, we dive into the fascinating world of the Dolphin Watch Project. You’ll discover how to identify the incredible dolphins that call these waters home and learn how your sightings contribute to vital research. Each participants will be able to browse the latest ‘Finn Guide’ to help identify our local dolphins, and will receive a digital copy for their personal use. There’s also the option to take online training to become a certified dolphin watcher—imagine being a citizen scientist right from your kayak!
With our newfound knowledge, we’ll slip into our kayaks and paddle beneath the iconic Mandurah Bridge, heading into the tranquil Mandurah Estuary. As we glide through the Mandurah Marina and Port Mandurah Canals, you’ll get an insider’s look at the luxurious canal-side living that makes this area so unique. Our adventure takes us across the channel and over to the heart of Mandurah's Venetian Canals, often compared to the famous Italian 'city of canals', Venice. Here, you’ll be in awe of the stunning million-dollar homes that line the water’s edge. We’ll take a refreshing break at Dolphin Quay, where a delightful stroll will lead us from Keith Holmes Reserve to the charming Lily Paris, a French café and patisserie known for its mouthwatering macarons and croissants. Treat yourself to a delicious bite and drink, re-energizing for the next leg of our kayaking expedition.
As we head back, we'll navigate to Mandjar Bay via Stingray Point, keeping an eye out for the breathtaking beauty of ospreys, the elegance of black swans, and cheeky cormorants feasting on the iconic Blue Manna Crab. We’ll pause to admire the majestic Moreton Bay Fig Tree and keep our eyes peeled for Percy the Pelican, often seen mingling with local fishermen at Stingray Wharf. Other highlights on our return journey include the Kwillena Gabi Estuary Pool and the poignant Mandurah War Memorial, where we’ll take a moment to pay our respects to its significance.
This enriching experience connects you with the history, charm, and natural beauty of Mandurah. With every stroke of the paddle, you'll be contributing to important dolphin conservation efforts while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

As we embark on this journey, you'll enjoy a visit to Thomas Dambo's Giant, 'Santi Ikto', a striking landmark that serves as a backdrop for the tales of shipwrecks and cultural heritage that have shaped this coastal region.
You'll explore fascinating formations such a solution pipes, karst formations & rhizolith fossil root structures of the ancient limestone forests that dart along the coast, dating back to the Quaternary period. Throughout the walk, participants will also be invited to engage in nature therapy invitations designed to encourage mindfulness, reflection, and a deeper connection with the environment. These prompts will invite you to consider how nature can enrich your health & wellbeing, fostering an appreciation for the calming effects of the coastal surroundings.
The experience culminates with a sunset grazing platter, featuring a delightful array of local flavors and seasonal ingredients, presented in a cozy beach-style picnic setting. As the sun sets on the horizon, you’ll have the opportunity to relax, share insights, and connect with fellow participants in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Welcome to the "Mandurah Waterways Eco Adventure, Hike, Bike n Paddle" where your journey transcends adventure and becomes a chance to positively impact the environment.
We depart the Mandurah Visitors Centre and head to the Samphire Cove Nature Reserve, a reserve in the Peel region offering visitors a chance to explore a fascinating environment on the fringes of the Peel Inlet. A leisurely 2km hike allows us to discover the wetlands diverse biodiversity and learn about the critical need for wetland conservation. Utilizing the iNaturalist app our visit allows us a chance to contribute to Citizen Science, documenting unique flora and fauna encountered along the way.Our Eco Adventure then takes us back to the Mandurah Foreshore where we collect our ebikes from The Bike Kiosk & depart for a 10km Bridge Loop Ride. As we ride we unveil the significance of Mandurah, where beaches, foreshores and coastal heath, internationally-recognized wetlands, diverse, native bushland and rivers, form a part of the Southwest Australia Ecoregion, one of a small number of Global Biodiversity Hotspots, and how we as guardians of a place that is woven by waterways and bursting with biodiversity, can play an active role in caring for such an important environment.As our Mandurah Waterways Eco Adventure unfolds with an exciting morning of exploration and adventure, the time arrives for a well-deserved refueling stop at Wood and Stone Cafe, a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Mandurah. When you step into the cafe, you’re stepping into a world of charm, warmth, and delightful hospitality. The enlivening aroma of fresh coffee beans, the blissful blend of rustic wood and soothing stone interiors creates an atmosphere that is inviting for all. Overlooking the Eastern Foreshore, enjoy the stunning bay views soaking in the serenity and coastal charm, gearing up for the next leg of our adventure.Now that we have nourished our bodies it's time to embark on our final adventure, an enchanting paddling expedition across Mandurah's Estuary, Mandjar Bay, and the captivating Venetian Canals—a journey that immerses us in the heart of these pristine waterways. While navigating these azure waters, our adventure isn't merely exploration; it's a chance to engage in the noble Dolphin Watch Project, a meaningful initiative dedicated to the conservation of these majestic creatures.
